Advanced Broadband Enabled Learning (ABEL) strives to improve results through knowledge sharing, collaboration and its professional learning networks. ABEL integrates new and existing technologies for teaching and learning through a research-based approach, resulting in innovative models that drive institutional transformation and create new opportunities.

ABEL’s Professional Learning Program is job-embedded, timely and participant-driven. It is differentiated to meet the needs of the learner and uses a blended learning approach. A wide array of professional learning offerings are available to ABEL participants providing support for, and expertise in, a variety of tools and pedagogically sound approaches to the effective use of technology for teaching and learning.

Certificates will be provided for participants upon the completion of an ABEL Professional Learning Program and YRDSB teachers will see completed programs added to their Connect2Learn portfolios.
