The ORION Shaw Project

ORION has recently partnered with York University to create the ORION-Shaw Project. As part of York University’s Sagittarius initiative (which is affiliated with York University’s Atkinson Faculty of Liberal and Professional Studies), the project is going to digitize annotated texts and resources for two George Bernard Shaw plays. The plays and resources will be made available to students and teachers as well as 80 institutions connected to ORION. The goal of this project is to digitize teaching and learning literary resources to be used by Canadian high schools.

Professor Kelly Thomson, Associate Dean Research of Atkinson Faculty of Liberal and Professional Studies at York University, and Chair of the Advisory Board of the Sagittarius Project says, “this project introduces a whole new dimension for students, teachers and researchers, especially in access to and dissemination of research materials.”

The ORION-Shaw project is part of the new programs and services ORION is introducing to help students and teachers get the most from ORION’s state-of-the art capabilities.

The ABEL Program Office is making the ORION-Shaw Project available to all ABEL members. For more information, please email the ABEL Program Office at [email protected].
